Be Diligent

Kamusta Ka Na?

It's More Fun in the Philippines:
  • Baptism of Au Benson was on May 17. She is 43 years old and is a big joker. She is extremely easy to get along with, and is the only member of her family that has been baptized. I'm so happy for her, and she always expresses how happy the church has made her.
  • We did a small service project which involved landscaping at a school. It's rare that we get to do service here, but I love offering service. Filipinos are just too nice to accept sometimes haha.
  • Also, fun fact: Many Filipinos believe that the reason Americans have white skin is because it is "cold in America." Not sure where that rumor comes from, but it sure makes me laugh haha!
Ultimately this has been one of the hardest weeks of my entire mission, but I'm still smiling! We have had a lot of issues come up recently, but we are working them out. We are trying our best to be diligent even through our trials, and I know the blessings of doing so will eventually come into our lives. Without a doubt, the Lord will bless us for our efforts (if we give ALL our effort), and as of right now I can say I am giving ALL my effort. The Lord will support us and lift us when we need him, but he will not remove our trials nor our hardships when they are experiences for us to grow. As of right now I recognize that I have a lot of room to improve, and each day I intend to get better. For now diligence will be the key, and on a future date I know the blessings will come forth.

CHALLENGE: BE DILIGENT and seek the Lord's Help. You may not notice his helping hand in your life right away, but some day you'll look back and be grateful for what he has done for you. For now, keep improving.
