PRAYER WILL GIVE YOU HUSBAND

Magandang Araw Po,

It's More Fun in the Philippines:
  • News came in that we will be getting an extra 2 missionaries here in Lemery which will make us 4 in our branch! We have been awaiting this for a very long time, because our area is way too big for only 2 missionaries.
  • It's a new year and I can tell it is going to be a good one. Just like Russel M Nelson said, "The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives. WHEN THE FOCUS OF OUR LIVES IS IN GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION... AND JESUS CHRIST AND HIS GOSPEL, WE CAN FEEL JOY REGARDLESS OF WHAT IS HAPPENING OR NOT HAPPENING IN OUR LIVES."
BAPTISM: Genevive Hardy (Bebs) was baptized on December 4, 2020. Sister Bebs has been prepared for baptism since last October, but she needed to first marry her husband that was working abroad. Her husband is from England and their relationship always makes us laugh. We love them both so much. When Bob, Beb's husband, came home in December their marriage was rushed before Bob would have to head abroad again. Due to problems with their paperwork the marriage was seemingly less and less possible in such a short time frame. After rejection multiple times, Bebs called us on the verge of tears. She didn't know what to do and neither did we. The City Hall would not accept their paperwork. After that phone call we knelt in prayer. Conlcuding that heartfelt prayer we texted Bebs, "We know you need more than just prayers right now, but we want you to know that we just finished kneeling in prayer for you and Bob." Not long after sending that text Bebs called us with excitement in her voice that they got approved and the wedding would occur on December 29. With that the two of them were married and the following week Bebs was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Each time we see her she has a huge smile on her face and is so happy that she was baptized and her husband was even here to witness it. (Also, she bore her testimony at fast sunday!)
