Kamusta Po,

It's More Fun in the Philippines:
There have been lots of big things this week, but as for now I simply wish to express a few things about how my mission is going, and how the Lord has blessed me. I remember always struggling through the language, and even being scared to talk to strangers. I would pray each day for the strength to open my mouth to speak with others, as well as for the gift of tongues so that I would be able to make conversation with them. I can't remember a specific date when my prayers were answered, but I can now say that after so much work and time I have been blessed with those things I did desire. Each day I approach strangers with very little fear and I hardly think through the Tagalog that I speak. What I mean is I no longer translate from English to Tagalog. I feel like my mind still thinks in English, but It's Tagalog that comes out of my mouth haha, and even at times I forget which language I am speaking. Ultimately, I know that the Lord is blessing me greatly at this time. I seek his help in prayer each day, because I know that "as to my strength I am weak... but in his strength I can do all things." In other words, I can do much more with his help, in fact, with his help I can do all things. I am grateful for this opportunity I have to serve a mission, and I pray each day for the guidance of the Lord.

LITTLE CHALLENGE: The Lord answered my prayers, and I know he will answer yours. Seek his help in all that you do. Be patient as you await an answer. And give thanks for all you receive, whether big or small.
